I found my rug hooking niche by taking previously loved clothing and using all of its elements, including buttons and zippers, to create hooked mats suitable to become functional art and family heirlooms. Honing my skills in rug hooking since 2003, I am very proud to say I’ve been juried by Newfoundland and Labrador Craft Council, have received the Crafts of Character Accreditation from the Dept. of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, GOVNL and Accreditation from the St. John’s Farm Market (SJFM). A Certified RHGNL Rug Hooking Instructor since 2012, I thoroughly enjoy offering both beginner and advanced rug hooking classes both through Zoom and in person.
