Pottery I - Handbuilding Functional Forms

Students will explore a variety of ceramic hand-building techniques to create pinch pots, press plates and mugs. Students will explore the benefits of handbuilding including adding texture and sprigs, all using your hands and basic hand tools. Special focus on surface decoration using texture. If time permits, a basic lesson in glazing students’ project work will be covered. Included in the cost are two extra hours of open studio time to complete your projects.
