"When my children were very small I watched them draw without intention and inhabit only the moment of creation. With these small textile collages I have attempted to create as my children did. These works are driven by my subconsious and with the confidence I now have in knowing that my intuitioin will dictate what comes next. They are an external manifestation of my creative energy. They are about process. About how the work grows. About discovery and about the pure joy of making. Material objects carry their histories. As I slowly and carefully stitched these pieces, long lost memories surfaced. Ghostly colours, textures, sensations, sounds. This project took 2 years to complete and I've loved every moment of it's creation."
