About This Event

Queer as Folk Art is a series of works of the renowned artistry of Kansala’s mixed media. Using a common expression originating from Northern England “Queer as Folk” as the theme, Cara’s aim is to create traditional folk artworks celebrating non-traditional themes. Queer couples, queer families, drag queens, women and men working in non-traditional roles, Grandmothers posing as nude models, “dirty laundry” hanging on the line. “I am celebrating my own life, queer culture and the beautiful, colourful and diverse community that I am proud to be a part of”, the artist says about the show.
