During this introductory course, students will be introduced to designing jewelry using clay as the design medium. Different types of clay will be used including stoneware, and two types of cone 6 porcelains, Bright White and Frost porcelain. Students will design and create earrings, ceramic beads and a pendent necklace. Working with jewelry findings such as earring hooks, jump rings, cords and bails will also be covered. Two hours of open studio time is included in this course in order to complete your projects.
