It's time to celebrate a decade of The Vancouver Metal Arts Association and we are very excited to invite you to our biennial Juried Exhibition at the Craft Council of British Columbia. The VMAA welcomes jewelers, metal artists and students of these disciplines to participate in this edition called Evolving Spaces: Transitional in Nature. When a physical or emotional space breaks its state and can no longer foster us, we push forward under new conditions. Shrinking rooms, displacement, changes of perspective, self discovery, and the search for safety are some of the many things that can propel us to a new normal. But what do we find in those liminal spaces that we all inhabit? In between what is lost and what will be gained we may discover what is. VMAA asks the artists to create work that explores what becomes present in those evolving spaces.
