The successful individual of this position will provide holistic support to students through development of craft workshops that celebrate craft in the province in one-to-one or group settings. The candidate will help students achieve preservation of craft practices in a culturally authentic way modelling the CCNL mission and vision. The purpose is to help guide students to achieve their personal, cultural, and academic aspirations with a strengths-based approach.
Candidates should be able to Create a welcoming environment for all students, staff, and guests of CCNL
Connecting learners to cultural experiences and inclusive services (individual, family, and/or group settings). Facilitating cultural activities and celebrating ways of keeping traditional knowledge of Craft practices alive in the province. Oversight and co-management of community workshops and demonstrations in the pedestrian Mall in St. John's.
Qualifications:
Completion of a Heritage and or Folk Lore or related program and two (2) years of recent experience. Experienced in working with diverse backgrounds and communities and/or organizations related to cultural guidance and wellness and preservation of heritage .
